1423. A marine steam engine, shot at the Henry Ford Museum, it was used on two Great Lakes boats during its 50 years of operation, first on Portage, 1875-1903, and then on Romania 1914-1926.

1424. A cooper's splitter, used to split a white oak sapling for making wooden barrel hoops.

















1425. These are graders for seed corn, of which there are four types: #1 small rounds, #2 large rounds, #3 small flats, and #4 large flats. Most farmers probably only wanted to plant the large flat or round kernels because they had more strength to get a better start.

1426. A flue expander, to join two flues together, the end of one of them must be made larger. This device was inserted into the flue, a cone shaped tool was then pounded into the back of it, causing the flue to expand.




















1427. This is most likely a tube clamp, a modern version can be seen here.
